Oak National Academy

Oak National Academy delivers free lessons in all subjects, supporting the national curriculum from early years to KS4. Their resources are intended to be used to compliment learning and help to support closing any gaps.

A free resource of short lessons and games that support the national curriculum from early years to GCSE. These lessons cover all aspects of English such as grammar, spelling, punctuation, comprehension, writing, types of text, speaking and studying particular books.

Khan Academy

Khan Academy offers free lessons from early years to year 9. Each subjects is broken down into short instructional videos followed by practice questions.

learnlaughplay

LearnLaughPlay offer weekly interactive classes for ages 3-16. They offer a very wide range of classes such as English, animal care, Minecraft club, quantum physics, classics, history, geography, maths, fashion design and becoming an artist. There is a lot to explore with 160 different lessons to choose from on their timetable. Classes cost £3 per week.

EdPlace

EdPlace has teacher designed activities and resources in English, Maths and Science for year 1 up to GCSE. Activities can be completed on a desktop or an app and they are automatically assigned to support your learners development. The free account allows up to 5 activities to be completed, alternatively a premium account will give full access to the resources. 

£2 tuition hub

£2 Tuition Hub offers live and recorded lessons in a wide range of subjects. Lessons cost £2 and are available in half termly blocks. There is a huge collection of English courses for primary age through to GCSE. These cover topics such as poetry, different types of writing, understanding different texts, Shakespeare, the classics and studies on particular books.

Night Zoopkeeper

Night Zookeeper is an English language arts program inspiring creative writers. Covers reading, writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation through games and challenges all designed to spark imagination and be fantastically fun. It is subscription based however there are some free resources too.

Literacy shed

Literacy Shed is part of EdShed and offers subscription based resources as well as a good range of free resources. Among the free resources there are short films with associated activity packs available to download. Ages Early Years to 11.

IXL

IXL offers a comprehensive curriculum of English skills delivered as practice questions. The practice questions are available free or membership is available for a personalised experience.

The Good and the Beautiful is a Christian homeschool curriculum covering Language Arts, Math, Science History, and elective courses. It is designed to be an open and go meaning no preparation is needed. The curriculum is available to download for free or printed versions can be purchased in the online shop.

Doodle learning

Doodle Learning is a subscription based program offering engaging and interactive exercises from early years to KS3. A great tool to consolidate learning and can be used on or offline.

Thinkers meet up

Thinkers Meet Up was set up by Oxford graduates to offer classes that allow learners to broaden and deepen their knowledge. There are a number of classes from KS2 to iGCSE including English language.

Copywork cave

Copywork Cave offers downloadable copywork to encourage and develop writing skills for ages 6-14. UK and US spelling, Classic and Christian versions.

Century

Century is a home learning platform using AI technology that incorporates short lessons with videos and questions, teaching English, Maths and Science. The AI tech allows the program to adapt to the learner's own pace.

Brave Writer

Brave Writer offers writing programs to teach writing with a focus on the writer themselves. It is aimed at ages 5-18 years. Check out the 'Friday Freewrites' for a weekly writing prompt.
