British film industry

British Film Institute have some video tutorials on how to do stop motion animation. They also offer occasional online workshops so keep an eye on their website.

bloop

Bloop has a great free beginners guide to animation detailing the process and explaining the vocabulary. There is also a page on how they made an animated film. To explore animation further there are courses available to purchase.

£2 tuition hub

£2 Tuition Hub offers live and recorded lessons in a wide range of subjects. Lessons cost £2 and are available in half termly blocks. There is a course on animation for age 8+ which has a focus on stop motion animation.

skill share

Skill Share is a subscription based platform offering creative video tutorials. There are over 100 blocks of videos covering animation alone. All of the high quality videos are available to watch as soon as the subscription starts and there are no adverts.

Dream Farm studio

Dream Farm Studios have written a great page on the 3D animation pipeline along with other write ups such as 2D animation, character design and commercial animation.

iLearn2

iLearn2 has a series of instructional videos to show you how to create stop motion animation, animations in PowerPoint and creating pixel graphics. This website mainly offers lessons for use in schools but this page is free access.

Wick editor

Wick editor is free open source software for creating animations.

Itgenio

Itgenio is an online coding school for 5-18 year olds and offers a collection of over 20 courses. Courses include 3D modelling and 2D animation. A free lesson is available before signing up for the course you choose.

Animation Mentor

Animation Mentor is the original online animation school, established in 2005. They offer courses with live Q&A sessions and 1:1 feedback from professional animators from top film and game studios like Pixar, Disney, Industrial Light & Magic, and Blizzard. They have an online campus built for collaboration and communication between students, mentors, and their robust alumni community.

Domestika

Domestika offers a catalogue of creative courses including a large number in Animation. These include designing characters, after effects, Blender for beginners, using sketch up, animation for social media, creating pixel art scenes, using puppets in stop motion and bringing hand drawn illustrations to life.
