The PDSA website has an education hub with lots of free downloadable information and activities to support learning about animals, their care and looking after our pets. There are resources for KS1, 2 and 3 and cover topics such as how to understand canine and feline body language, wild animals, Egyptian and their pets, the cost of pets, animal teeth, animal heroes and animal careers.

The RSPB website is a treasure trove of information about birds and wildlife in nature. Explore their bird A-Z, check out the bird identification guides, find out how to help birds near you, have a go at some great activities.

The RSPCA website has an education hub with lots to learn about animal care. Aimed at ages 4-7 and 7- 13, learn about responsibilities and ethics, pet diets, feeding wildlife, making bee stations, caring for your cat or dog and pig behaviour.

Fun Kids delivers a podcast with a series of clips called A to Z of Wildlife for kids. There are 26 episodes each based on a different animal from the ant to the zorilla.

Animal Love offer courses in pet first aid, health and wellbeing. They are developing a range of children's courses in addition to their virtual classroom courses and webinars. Additionally, Vet Dr Sophie Bell has presented a series of free videos on how to look after dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs as part of Sophie's Vet School.

Tes support learning with a vast catalogue of teaching resources created by the teaching community. There are free and paid for materials for all age ranges. Searching for animals resources brings up resources on animals sounds, animal farm, animal science, how to draw animals, classification, adaptations, habitats, physiology, animal rights, how they grow and animal care.

Learn with Amy

eLearn with Amy has a large catalogue of amazing zoology and biology lessons for KS1 through to IGCSE. There are weekly classes, short courses and standalone recorded lessons available to purchase such as the 6 week animal management course for KS3/4, the animal care and welfare course for KS1/2, the 6 week wildlife conservation course for KS3/4, or the living planet series of 1 hours lessons for KS1/2 and KS3/4.

Learning247

Learning 247 has a catalogue of online courses available for animal care. There are courses in dog grooming, pet psychology, pet nutrition, dog sitting, veterinary support, canine communication and pet physiotherapy.

Harbor & Sprout have an expansive range of topics as unit studies and activity packs for KS1, KS2 and KS3. They have a number of zoology based units such as the zoology nature study, zoology patchwork study, animal tracks packs and zoology morning baskets.

£2 tuition hub

£2 Tuition Hub offers live and recorded lessons in a wide range of subjects. Lessons cost £2 and are available in half termly blocks. For primary age they offer a series of animal courses called 'Wild about animals'.

Chatty Zebra

Chatty Zebra have developed cross curricular workbooks and activities in a range of topics, perfect for home learners. They have a number of animal themed workbooks such as horses, dogs, cats, chickens, apes & monkeys and mammals. Workbooks are available as pdfs to print at home. The work books are fun and interactive, involving lots of hands on activities and the suggested age is 7-14 though this is just a guide.

Udemy offers a catalogue of online video courses. They have many courses covering animal related topics such as animal communication, pet first aid, animal physiology, pet sitting, animal survival skills and pet training. Additional there are courses on drawing animals too.
