Having a dog means I'm usually covered in dog hair and mud and I'm always tripping over tennis balls. However taking Scruffles for a walk is one of my favourite things. Getting outside in nature make me happy; I love all the cool plants, interesting bird songs and it's nice to bump into friends out walking their dogs. Here is Scruffles trying to climb a tree!

Please share your top tips for starting on the home learning journey. Share the things you wish you'd known. Everyone's home learning journey is different and what works for one family may not be as effective for another. For us we've dipped into and dabbled in lots of different methods of learning, from formal book work through to unschooling. It takes exploring all the options in order to find the right balance for you. My top tip - do what feels good and positive and ditch it if it's not working - that's ok! It's what you do in every other aspect of your life so why not do it this way with your learning journey ☺️

What do you like and dislike about home learning? I'd love to hear your opinions. I love that I get to hang out with my two amazing kids. I get to understand them and all their wonderful quirks. They tell me I'm annoying and weird😂
